A call to adventure, The Fergana Road evokes the timeless journey between the steppe, trader city states, and the great empires beyond vast mountains, a cycle of trade, travel, and conquest that stretches into the deepest memory of humanity.

Dawn breaking over the land of rivers and grass, islands of human habitation tower amidst the sea, as a great caravan host rides out on the long road toward the mountains. Through the swaying sea of grass, a swift wind to guide them, flows the road along the shores of the Oxus, spirit river of the distant mountains. Passing by towns and fortresses, some thriving and others long ruined, ever higher into the mountain passes, adorned in eternal glacial crowns, travelers go ever forward. Over the high pass lies a hidden kingdom beyond the tree line, alive with monks and miners, shrouded by glacial mountains. Wind and snow test pilgrim and warrior alike, in the high mountains. Finally at the top, a prayer for the journey home at the foot of the sacred mountain, as the river flows back into the grasslands. Riches and ruin, along the Fergana road.
